Challenge

The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) uses sar.org as their platform to communicate the mission and purpose of the organization to their global audience. They were looking for a strategic partner that could work within their parameters to design a website that can host both public-facing and members-only content on a platform that is easy to use for authors, and that integrates with an existing membership management system for authentication and permissions.

Solution

Mission Data extended WordPress with custom theming, components, and single-sign-on integration with the Society’s members system. Additional features include a recruitment tool, and a calendar of national, state, and chapter events. Our user experience team was able to improve the content organization and navigation to make it easier for users to access information.

Results

SAR now has a content marketing platform that celebrates historic achievements and promotes people-focused storytelling. The SAR IT team is benefitting from the site automations that have dramatically reduced the amount of time needed to maintain the site.
