Challenge

The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution maintains a Genealogical Research Library and needed a way to share the collection of historical materials with SAR members and the public. They wanted to establish a separate identity that supports the organization’s overall brand identity and makes it easy for the internal team to manage.

Solution

Mission Data deployed a WordPress installation, leveraging the custom theming and component work from the primary portal sar.org. Our team created a distinct landing page for the growing number of people interested in their genealogical heritage making it easy to research and access the podcasts, videos, events, and blog posts available on the site.

Results

SAR is able to share the original research with members and the public as evidenced by the credits in the popular PBS series Finding Your Roots and was also awarded the 2022 Trip Advisor Travelers’ Choice award for top things to do in Louisville.
