EagleWatchGolf, a software company that allows golfers to win cash based on the outcomes of their games at 30 courses in the U.S., needed an updated web and mobile app. They were also interested in incorporating proximity-enabled marketing into their mobile solution through the use of beacons.
We created a responsive website, and native iOS and Android apps. We then enabled the native apps to trigger events based on beacons at the course clubhouse and prize hole. We developed all aspects of the solution including the UX/UI which needed to meet the needs of those who are avid golfers and enjoy such skills competitions. The solution features a responsive design, user profiles, user accounts (including balances), payments, and payouts.
As EagleWatchGolf app users enter the clubhouse, a beacon triggers the app to send a notification suggesting they play the EWG hole on the course. Additionally, if they’re already signed up to play the hole, then the app will send a reminder when they enter the clubhouse. Lastly, if they haven’t signed up to play, the app will ask if they want to participate in the competition. At the prize hole another beacon notifies the player that they are at a hole they can compete in if they haven’t yet made an entry or if they have already entered to play the hole they are reminded of the entry.
