National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving American history. Mission Data has partnered with the organization to modernize the tools the organization uses to distribute the historical and educational content collected since its origin in 1889.
Mission Data redesigned and rebuilt the public-facing site (sar.org) in WordPress. The redesign focused on improving the user experience so that the content is easier to consume by members and curious visitors. Another key component was including member-exclusive content by incorporating an enhanced permissions system along with single-sign-on integration with the members management site (members.sar.org).

Our user experience team organized the content so that it is easy for users of all ages to find what they need.

Podcasts, videos, blog posts and an event calendar are curated in this space. There’s even a way to purchase items using an Amazon Wish List to help expand the SAR Genealogical Research Library.
