About Vibrant Nation
Vibrant Nation is a start-up social network website where women 50 and over can share experiences, engage in smart conversation with their peers, ask and answer questions, and share and find recommendations. Vibrant Nation offers blogs about a variety of topics about a woman’s life after 50 including contributions from guest experts.
Handling rapid growth
The previous Vibrant Nation website was on a platform that was not positioned to support the growth goals of the site. Vibrant Nation wanted to implement a Content Management System that would make its administrators more efficient in a high content turnover environment. Vibrant Nation also wanted to implement a web analytics tool that would provide more accurate statistics as the site’s audience grows.
How we helped
Mission Data was engaged to convert the site to a new open source based platform and update the design to make it easier for visitors to navigate and find the information they want. Mission Data created a custom CMS that was integrated with the processes used by Vibrant Nation staff to create, publish, and manage content on the site. Mission Data is providing managed services which include hosting on a dedicated virtual server platform, site maintenance, and on-going consulting on site improvements.
Building a social community
The Vibrant Nation community is as highly engaged as its younger counterparts in the social networking space. Site administrators are more efficient in delivering content to the site and identifying trends for new topics of interest to the community.
