Founded by Dr. Phillip C. Schlechty, the Schlechty Center for Leadership in School Reform has for over two decades provided the support necessary to enable public school leaders and administrators to effectively and permanently transform their schools and districts into high-achieving, student-centered organizations. The organization supports school systems across the nation.
Strategic adoption of the web
The Schlechty Center (Schlechty) was using the web in a basic way but decided that its growth depended on a strategic adoption of the web in all aspects of how it does business. Schlechty decided that the site would be at the center of its business processes and would allow visitors access to tools and to better understand and track critical findings and information around education delivery trends.
Consulting, design and development efforts
The Schlechty Center selected Mission Data to provide consulting services on how to re-engineer its website to incorporate new capabilities and deliver the services the educational market demands. Providing design and development services, Mission Data incorporated functionality that includes the ability to obtain and subscribe to publications and tools, register for conferences and programs, identify potential partners and providers, and access the Center’s online tools and videos. Additionally, the solution included the implementation of a third-party mass emailing solution, to enable targeted email campaigns based upon members previous interactions with the Schlechty Center.
Managed services
Mission Data is also providing managed services that include hosting on a dedicated virtual server platform, site maintenance, and application management.
Empowering members
Members of the Schlechty Center website are now able to use a sophisticated and flexible system for participating in conferences and training. Members are able to securely interact with peers outside of conferences through established forums. Most importantly, they have ready access to the tools and materials which are valuable in executing the ideas and programs supported for them by the Schlechty Center such as the customized Tools for Change area.
The Schlechty Center is now able to more effectively and efficiently deliver its services and materials. The new solution has improved efficiencies within the organization as well as enhanced the quality and speed in which it satisfies the requests of its memberships.
