The Collaborative for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is a public benefit corporation that provides consulting services nationally and internationally to schools, school districts, post-secondary institutions, and other learning organizations to help reach and teach all learners. CTL has expertise in effective professional development design, adult learning, adolescent literacy, educational leadership development, the arts in education, early childhood development, at-risk student achievement, and college readiness.
Standing out in a crowd
CTL’s previous web site had served it well for several years. However, it was showing its age: the look was a bit dated, the navigation design didn’t give room for growth and the coding practices behind the site were very dated.
We are constantly getting compliments on our website from people telling us that the site looks energetic and creative, welcoming and easy to navigate. As Vice President of Communications, these compliments are music to my ears.

CTL engaged Mission Data to create an active and integrated platform for supporting and expanding its work. Mission Data designed and developed a site that captured the commitment and enthusiasm of the CTL organization towards its mission. The site was built using Mission Data’s proprietary ContentMagic content management system. Mission Data is hosting the site on a shared virtual server platform.
Award winning design
In addition to CTL providing its customers with an engaging and functional site, Mission Data took home the Interactive Silver Award at the Louisville Graphic Design Association 100 Show for the design of the site. The CTL site was recognized for its exciting use of color and the inclusion of pictures of CTL’s actual staff added a really unique look to this non-profit’s web site.
