Mission Data CEO named to Datacastle, Inc. Advisory Board

Stuart Gavurin, CEO, Mission Data, has been named to the Datacastle, Inc. Advisory Board. Datacastle, based in Seattle, WA, specialize in data protection software for IT service providers.

"Stu brings a wealth of industry and general business knowledge and we are very pleased to have his guidance and support in driving forward our goals within Datacastle," said Lori Marshall, VP of Marketing and Business development for Datacastle.

Gavurin's Bio
Stuart L. Gavurin has than twenty-five years of experience in building consulting and outsourcing businesses with particular emphasis in business strategy, infrastructure technology outsourcing and systems integration.

Currently Stu is the Chief Executive Officer of Mission Data, LLC. At Mission Data he is guiding the market and services expansion of a technology services company that provides web design, systems development, and managed services in support of complex, mission critical business systems with specialization in Open Source and state-of-the-art web technologies.

Formerly, he was the global leader at Unisys responsible for its IT Outsourcing line of business. Accomplishments at Unisys included the realization of an integrated end-to-end portfolio and a globally consistent delivery model that resulted in growth rates that were nearly double the market standard for both revenues and orders ($1.266 billion in revenues and $1.515 billion in orders).

Prior to Unisys Stu was a Vice President at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young where among his roles he served as the Chief Operating Officer of the North American IT consulting services organization consisting of over 1500 client-serving professionals and $600 million in revenue.

Stu is a writer and speaker on IT strategy, outsourcing, and other business and technology topics. Articles have appeared in such publications as Business Communications Review, Network World, and The Journal of Systems Management. He is frequently quoted in various business publications in the areas of outsourcing and information technologies, including Fortune Magazine. He has a BA from The Johns Hopkins University and a graduate degree from American University.
