Carson McDonald
Partner
Carson started programming on an Apple II using BASIC in the mid-80s and made the leap to C a few years later. In college he started using Linux before it had a 1.0 release and has been using it ever since. That experience led him to intern as a Sysadmin at IBM and later move to Perot Systems where he worked on a rewrite of National Car Rental's rental system using C++.
Since then, Carson has had broad exposure to languages and technology, from writing real-time processing systems using C on QNX to writing web services using Java for e-commerce systems that generate millions of dollars in revenue a day.
Carson has also been an active contributor to a number of open source projects over the years. He made his first notable contributed in 1999 to the Apache Tomcat project. Most recently he has contributed to projects such as Node.js as well as a number of his own projects all of which can be found on GitHub.

Todd Budnikas
Creative Director
Designing on computers since 1995 and specifically for the web since 1999, Todd began his efforts in Flash but found the standards of the open web to be his true calling.
He designs web sites and applications every day—he doesn't just visit them, talk about them or read about them online. He codes websites in HTML5 and CSS3 from scratch using nothing more than a text editor.
“The mobile web is an exciting place to play right now and is where I see the future of the web heading to some degree,” says Todd. “We need to be thinking more about what we're building sites for and where they'll be seen. This is part of the mobile-first movement which I think is going to drive the next few years of the web.”
In recent years, Todd led the Refresh Louisville group for local web designers, and he recently launched a Build Guild chapter in its place. The group promotes growth and learning in and around the web locally.
